Another wonderful stay here in Maison de Thau.  Tamsin so helpful as ever and that makes for a relaxing holiday.

Our highlights this year were joining the Festival of Tango Argentine in the square We danced to Argentinian Tango at home and to dance under the trees was fabulous!

Also hiring bikes and riding along the bike track to Bouzigues.  Cold beer after a long cycle was most welcome.

 

We love Meze and I am sure this will become a regular stay for us.

Un bel appartement tres bien situé, propre et bien équipé. Les lits sont confortables. Une jolie vue sur l’étang au dessus des toits. A proximité des commodités, du port et des plages. Tout se fait à pieds. Nous recommandons sans hésiter!

​​We've totally enjoyed our week in Mèze. The house is splendid! Painted in different shades of grey, well equipped and just a romantic hideout although in the centre of Mèze.

 

Just have breakfast in front of the window that offers you a wide angle on the beach. The beach is indeed a 2minutes walk from the house and a market/bakery/tabac is just around the corner. Mèze is calm but also quite chatty. You definitely get into a conversation if you want to :)

 

The port is amazing! Because of the tiny streets (we did that once and would never ever park our car there again :-) you'd better park the car in front of the beach area, unless you've got an old car :) There are a lot of vineyards in the local area - so don't buy vine in the supermarket and explore the region! For the dog owners: There are two beaches (40minutes drive) where you can take your dog to but there is no chance that it is allowed in the beach area in Mèze.

 

The dog beach we can recommend is the one in Portiragnes. The most beautiful beach is a 20min drive: plage des aresquiers. Sète is just a 20min drive, too. (and charming as well). If you want to go on a cultural stroll: the Pilgrim's Route to Santiago de Compostela passes through several villages in the surroundings (we're not religious but we discovered it by accident. :) And the university of Beaux Arts in Sète has a lot to offer in its streets. To be honest, I wanted to give a zero stars review in order to book it myself all of the time :-) Please be her guest - everybody needs at least one secure perfect holiday in France per year.
